Morgan Wright  -  Mountain dulcimers

Morgan Wright

At this time I am working with one basic hour glass design for an acoustic instrument. You can choose different wood, or other custom features.

I also have a solid body electric.

At this time I am keeping prices low, to help me get started, and to help more people start playing dulcimers.

Richard Young  -  I make mountain dulcimers and hammers for hammered dulcimers.

Richard Young

I take great care in detail. My dulcimers and hammers are not mass produced. My finished work is of the highest quality. And I charge very reasonable prices. It is more of a hobby with me than a business.

However relatively new at building dulcimers I have repaired instruments of all kinds for years until I found out my neighbor was a master woodworker with some neat tools. So for the past couple of years we have been duplicating and improving designs of instruments I have repaired in the past. We(I for the past several instruments) build one at a time and the pretty ones go quick so have accidentally fell into a semi-custom type building situation but are having a blast! Still do repairs and modifications! Instrument pictured was recently bought by a member of the Cactus Brothers" who had the honor of recording with David Schnaufer."

Robert Worth  -  Dulcimers, harps

Robert Worth

I've been making dulcimers for 39 years. I prefer to custom make each dulcimer, either to a customer's or my own satisfaction. I like to know specifically where the wood comes from so I can pass that information on to the person who will be playing it. I use mostly native hardwoods such as walnut and cherry, though I've made others of maple, poplar, chestnut, sassafras and sycamore. I sometimes use exotic woods such as mahogany, sapele, koa or purpleheart. Call or write if you are looking for something special or if you would like to see any that I have on hand.

Woods I have used are: walnut, cherry, maple, mahogany, poplar, sasafrass, sycamore, red gum, pawlonia, redwood, western red cedar.
