Blueberry Jammers

We are the Blueberry Jammers of Mt. Desert Island, Maine, home of Acadia National Park. Currently, we have nine dulcimers, a stand-up bass, a guitar and vocalist. We play all styles, mostly DAD sometimes with capo, chords, strumming, finger-picking and flat-picking. Dulcimer players at all levels welcome.

Meeting schedule: We meet year-round, Wednesdays 3:30 PM - 5:00.

Meeting directions: Southwest Harbor is 45 miles east of Bangor, Maine: From Bangor, I 395 East to Rte. 1A. Drive east on 1A towards Ellsworth and Bar Harbor. From Ellsworth, Rte 3 East towards Bar Harbor then South on Rte. 102 to Southwest Harbor. 102 becomes Main Street in Southwest Harbor. St John Church 315 Main St. on left.

Instruments welcomed: Any and all acoustic strings at any level

Other club comments: We hold weekly jam sessions and rehearsals for gigs at various community venues.

Southern Maine Dulcimer Pioneers

This is a brand new club. Our first meeting was April 1st. 2014. .
We are hoping it will be a place to meet new friends and learn songs and music together. Also, introduce the dulcimer to people that don't know what it is.

Meeting schedule: Meetings are held at my house ( for the time being ) the 1st Saturday of every month. 1:00 P.M.

Meeting directions: From Limerick, Me.
Take 160 North out of Limerick. Follow for a couple of miles. Turn left onto Cram Rd. Our house is a couple more miles. Our mailbox is clearly marked 418.

Instruments welcomed: It is a mountain dulcimer club. But, we will welcome any acoustic instrument.to play along with us.
Also will welcome percussion.

Other club comments: Membership dues are $12.00 a year.
If you want to just attend meetings without joining, it is $1.00 per meeting.
There will be refreshments and coffee served.

If you don't have a dulcimer, I have some available for use at the meetings.
