Is this every tuesday? I may be able to do tuesday coming. And you're 6 hours... behind? So if you're doing it at 8... I'll need to be at 2...

Thanks,

Hi there

I'll try, my parents can be a bit wary of me using chat sites - I've never used one anyway as I've never seen the point, but dulcimers is different. I'll see what they say.

Hope to be there!

Such A Pity I'm in the UK! Paltalk sounds good - is it free? I may try to start a uk (or at least UK time) one!

Paltalk is free if you're will to put up with advertising. It's $40 US per year if you don't want ads. However, I'm not sure if the Tuesday night jam is still going on. I dropped out of it due to lack of participation. It got to the point where only 1 or 2 people would show up other than me.

whatever happened to the chat feature that was on here about 5 years ago or thereabouts?
i remember that it was Java based.
actually met someone in there who became family friends with us later on; that is, their family became friends with our family - all through that chat feature!
perhaps it cost too much to subscribe the site to?

btw, that's why this subforum was started - to let folks know when to go into the chat room.
later, when ED went a total different direction for a while, the paltalk thing was added as a kind of replacement; though i have to admit i never tried it.
when ED came back to being more like it had been, the chat room didn't come back.
making this subforum moot.

unless the chat can be reinstated some day.
