Dan, Stephen, and Bruce,

The Tab page seems to be very broken. I'm seeing the following PHP errors:

  • Notice: Undefined index: action in /mnt/stor2-wc2-dfw1/430793/www.everythingdulcimer.com/web/content/plugins/system/jumi.php(63) : eval()'d code on line 46
  • Notice: Undefined index: sort1 in /mnt/stor2-wc2-dfw1/430793/www.everythingdulcimer.com/web/content/plugins/system/jumi.php(63) : eval()'d code on line 74
  • Notice: Undefined variable: link in /mnt/stor2-wc2-dfw1/430793/www.everythingdulcimer.com/web/content/plugins/system/jumi.php(63) : eval()'d code on line 112
  • Notice: Undefined index: sort1 in /mnt/stor2-wc2-dfw1/430793/www.everythingdulcimer.com/web/content/plugins/system/jumi.php(63) : eval()'d code on line 132
Also, if I refresh the page, Internet Explorer (IE7) shows me the following message:

Stop running script?

A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly.
If it continues to run, your computer may become
unresponsive.

(Yes) (No)

I click "No", but the browser seems to run painfully slow on this page anyway.

Finally, the link for tab submission seems to be incorrect. It is "dan+ tab@dpnews.com". Should this be dan+tab@dpnews.com?

Regards,
Ron

This is happening again this evening, is there a problem at my end or the websites?

It appears all of the links for the TAB page have disappeared again. Anyone know when this issue will be looked at on the website or is my firewall causing the problem?

Thanks for letting me know. It is corrected now.

For those interested in behind the scenes goings on - everything on the page was actually still working. You could have clicked on the links and it would have downloaded the PDFs as normal. The extra text was verbose php reporting which we had turned on while working on another part of the site. We forgot to turn it back off again. Sorry about that. There are three of us working in three different cities. Clear case of too many cooks spoiling the broth. Thanks again for pointing it out. I wish all fixes were this easy!

Is anyone else having with a return to top function on the TAB section, between the individual alphabetical sections? I click on them, but have to end up scrolling up anyway.

It was a browser specific problem. Bruce corrected it this morning. Thanks FolkFan, for letting us know. Hooray for Bruce!

Now that you have all that fixed ... there's a link problem I've been annoyed with. At the top of every forum page, in prosilver, there is a row of links to Home, Events, etc. The tab link does not actually take one to the tab page, but rather to http://everythingdulcimer.com/index.php ... &Itemid=43 which is a frame page empty of specific content. I get to tabs now by going through the ED homepage. A direct link that worked would save me a click ... :D

Brashley46,

Happy to help you save a click here and there when possible. I corrected the link. Let me know if it works for you too, OK?.

Now is a good time to reiterate that we intend to keep ProSilver alive for the folks still using it. There are around 50 of you, and although you're small in number, you are important for many reasons. We are, however, focusing all development on Affinity. I know I'll never win over everyone, but I do hope some of you will be willing to give Affinity a second chance. It never hurts to ask, and I hope you'll accept a polite please, and thank you. Dan

I'd consider trying it again only *if* it had a way of showing which threads i had posted in, like ProSilver so nicely does with a red star marking the thread. Am I missing this indicator in Affinity somehow?

Dan, I did give Affinity a second chance and am enjoying it now. I don't entertain a thought of ever switching back.

Dan.. I ask in question in an other post but I'll ask again is the Infuse choice a keeper or experiment... and why does it not show all the things at the top of the page... I can't go to anything else except the discussions unless I go straight to the site.. just wondering..I like the colors of infuse but if need to I will go back to Affinity.. thanks 8)
