Wendell Powell instruments

Postby pluckinpole » Tue Jan 30, 2018 4:49 pm

Ten or twelve years back I bought a gorgeous, great sounding/playing instrument (a stick variation) from Wendell Powell of Van Buren, Arkansas. He went by the name of "Dulciaddict." I still have all of the various building plans he furnished (free) online, and over time built and sold many instruments of my own . . . based largely on his designs.

I recently tried looking up Wendell to possibly buy another one (I gave my original Wendell stick to my stepdaughter) but his site is no longer active. Was just curious if he was still with us.

Thanks for any info.

Here's the link to a site from 2015 where a person indicates Wendell's shop was knocked down by a twister.

It might also be interesting reading for those who play at hospitals and assisted living homes.

Here's a link for many of the Powell's in Van Buren.

Best of luck.
