I'm selling this beautiful Ledford dulcimer as I just don't play it enough to justify keeping it. It's number 5988, built near the end of Homer's prolific building career. The dulcimer is in virtually perfect condition like the day it was finished. You can still see a little fuzz around the edges of the trademark diamond sound holes that Homer cut in with a wood chisel. The 6+ fret is original. I installed the maple bridge (shown in photos) to lower the action a little. It's a floating bridge (meaning it's not permanently attached). The original bridge will be included; easily changed. It comes with the pictured hard case. I bought this dulcimer a few years ago for $600 and am pricing it the same. I've enjoyed owning it and taking it out to play occasionally, but time to let it go. Buyer pays shipping costs. Please contact me with any questions or to see more photos.

Hi Dan. I still have the dulcimer and will give you a call. Sorry for the slow reply.....I've been in Canada with limited web access.

I was too late replying to Dan, so I still have the dulcimer in case anyone is interested. It really is an excellent example of Homer's later dulcimers and is perfect original condition. If interested, please message me or post something here. I promise to look more frequently!

I have a friend named Lee Ann over on FOTMD, and for some reason she can't login here to respond. She is interested in the Ledford (wish I could afford it)
