If posting in wrong area....apologies.
Will be returning to USA mid November to visit with family posted to Maryland.
Would like to get a second dulcimer I can leave in USA for future visits and for my daughter and grandchildren to have access to in the interim.
Can you help me please with contacts in Maryland (family in Leonardtown) who may be able to assist with a purchase.
I would also like to get some advice...tuition...lesson whilst there.
If I can get my daughter to organise prior to my arrival would be great.
Thanks in advance
Heather....South Australia

Hello Heather. What part of Maryland will you be visiting? If you are in the Washington, D.C. area, the House of Musical Traditions in Takoma Park is probably the best place to look for a dulcimer.

You might also want to contact Carl Gotzmer at June Apple Dulcimers, located in Accokeek, Maryland.

Geez, how did I forget about Carl. He builds excellent dulcimers. Thanks for reminding me.

Have emailed June Apple Dulcimers thank you for the lead. I am a little interested in the little Soprano....the size of course being greatest advantage! I am fairly short... 5 foot... and have been reading shorter/smaller instruments might be the go for me. Would appreciate any of your feedback re the June...and....Juniper....and.....Soprano Dulcimers. My current one is a BIGIVY 37” .... the Soprano would be far easier for travelling. So shorter better? I’m thinking could go in overhead lockers on planes at that length..but not a criteria.
Any advice welcomed....plus reviews if possible.
Cheers
