Traditional Indian Santoor Package. This 16/15 Indian Santoor has 3-string courses strung over chessman bridges.
Package includes: Hard-shell case, T-handle tuning wrench, hammers and light santyr hammers with individual cases.

The bottom rail is 26.5" wide, top rail is 15" wide. 21.5" from top to bottom and 5" deep. Package weighs only 18.5 lbs. Bridge cap markers are dark and light. The bottom 2 courses on each bridge are strung with bronze-wound strings, the remainder of the strings are unwound.

How about tonal quality? I'm interested, but wonder if you know whether this was built for musicians or tourists?

I don't know the answer to the builder question, Dan. I bought it from a local guy who had played it regularly for about a year. Let me play it again and give you an answer about tonal quality soon!
