Songbird Whippoorwill Hammered Dulcimer

Postby Zira » Mon Oct 31, 2016 7:12 pm

Reluctantly selling my 2000 Songbird Whippoorwill hammer dulcimer. Includes a folding stand, case, and 2 sets of hammers. Some small scratches, but nothing bad, I just never learned to play it. Asking $350. Located near Raleigh, North Carolina.

Lowered price to $275. Here is more info:

Beautiful "Whippoorwill" model hammer dulcimer, made by Chris Voss of Songbird Dulcimers. This instrument was made in 2000, and this model has been discontinued. The "Whippoorwill" model is similar to the current "Woodthrush" model, except the "Whippoorwill" was made of better materials and all solid hardwoods (no laminates/plywood, or poplar). It is NOT the same instrument as the Whippoorwill model sold by Jake's Cabin. The "Woodthrush"" model can be seen here:

A description of the "Whippoorwill" can be read here:

This instrument is in good shape, with one noticeable scratch on the top and several on the back (where they will not be seen). Please look carefully at the pictures, It includes a fold up stand, a fitted carrying case, 3 sets of hammers, a tuning wrench, and paperwork. You can set it up & start playing today, or would make a great gift.
