I want to sell my Lee Spears hammered dulcimer.

I would like to sell my Lee Spears hammered dulcimer, but I don't know what it is worth. Can anyone help me with this? It is in excellent condition and has only been played a couple of times. Beautifully hand-crafted with soft case. Not sure why the images appear upside down.

An internet search shows that Song of the Wood recently sold a very similar if not identical instrument recently for 595 dollars. Along with the case and hammers, it also included tuning wrench, short and long legs, and a book. It was from the late 80's. if you are missing the other accessories I would say you should be able to get 500 or so. You would have to account for shipping charges unless it is local pickup only. The pictures make the mahogany top look splotchy. Is something going on with the finish, or is that just the way it photographed?

Thanks for your reply. No there is nothing wrong with the top, it's just dusty. Not sure how to clean it, but will definitely take better pics when I post it for sale.

A soft cotton cloth wrapped around a yardstick works well for that. Good luck!
