I live in San Francisco and currently only play my HD in my living room -- I've only been at it a week, and I'm not quite ready to subject the public to my hammerings!

Tucson Arizona has three lap dulcimer groups because of far stretches to drive. But about 30 of us gathered yesterday to take classes from Bing Futch plus a terrific show. The show was followed by jamming and instruments included dulcimers, jazz piano, fiddle, drums etc. In early February Steven Seifert will be performing with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra - the debut of a specially commissioned piece written for dulcimer.

In early February Steven Seifert will be performing with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra - the debut of a specially commissioned piece written for dulcimer.

I plan on being in Tucson for this! Sure enjoyed meeting some of the Tucson area dulcimer players this summer at Dulcimerville and Ky Music Week. We'll get together and jam next time I'm out there!

Newbie hammerer, just finished building my own 16/15 from scratch, and in the beginning tuning stage, learning where all the notes are, just tapping away and listening to the harmonics. Can't wait to try it at church Now to find a group close by...
