Hi Bruce, I think it will only help if the folks can see the code under your videos. There must be a way for you to do this without the actual videos showing.

It looks like something got lost in the translation in the E-mail I sent to Bruce. This is what the post should have looked like:

There seems to be some confusion about how to embed YouTube and Vimeo videos, so a change has been made that will, hopefully, simplify things for you. Before, you had to use the YouTube or Vimeo video code. Unfortunately, a lot of people didn't understand what that meant. For YouTube, there are two possible links:

 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxxxxx
 2. http://youtu.be/xxxxxxxx
where xxxxxxxx is the YouTube video code. This is what you were supposed to put between the YouTube and /YouTube tags. For Vimeo, there is only one possible link:

where xxxxxxxx is the Vimeo video code. This is what you were supposed to put between the Vimeo and /Vimeo tags. Now, for both YouTube and Vimeo, you can use either the video code or the full link. Here are some examples. If the link to the YouTube video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCIlXNl6H0k or http://youtu.be/pCIlXNl6H0k, you can do any one of the following:
Code: Select all

and it will still look like this:

If the link to the Vimeo video is http://vimeo.com/9533004, you can do any one of the following:
Code: Select all
[Vimeo]9533004[/Vimeo]
[Vimeo]http://vimeo.com/9533004[/Vimeo]

and it will still look like this:

Regards,
Ron

Thanks for clearing this up Ron. I did not have a problem with the previous way of doing things. I told many folks how to do it and fixed their links in many posts. This should help.
