Dulcimer License Plates

Postby dbennett » Fri Apr 21, 2017 4:39 pm

The other day on the ED FaceBook page Stephen Seifert posted a photo of someone's dulcimer license plate. This lead to some of us to post our plates.

It reminded me of related photos I've meant to post on ED to spur others to post theirs, but I never got around to until I saw Stephen's post the other day.

If anyone else would like to post their license plate photos feel free.

This cover is from a DPN issue from 1992.

Here's mine. A year after I got mine in 2014 Alabama changed their design and sent me a new replacement, giving me a nice wall hanger.

Here's a couple I saw at the Crooked Road Dulcimer Festival about two years back.

We've had DULC'MER here in North Carolina for about 30 years on various vehicles. I'll have to figure a way to post a photo of it, too.

I haven't been on in a while, and saw this post and figured I would need to put up a picture of my tag, but someone has already done it! I've only had it since February!

Got a picture of ours yesterday at the Winston-Salem Dulcimer Festival. We had a great time!

Here's a picture of my new license plate. Previously I had MTNDCMR and even with a magnet showing a mountain dulcimer people keep asking me what it was suppose to say. Even at dulcimer festivals people would ask me what it said. I really wanted to go with DULCMOR but then I thought I'd have the same problem... :)
