I have the song on paper somewhere, from when my teacher and I worked on it. (it was based on a video). I'd be happy to put it on here, but...I think it's copyrighted?

Yes, the song is still under copyright.... Best thing to do merrybee is use what you have to understand how the song is developing and then work out for yourself how the rest of it should go. If you can play that first page; it should be easy to listen to a recording and figure out what comes after the part you know...

Here is one link: http://bp1.blogger.com/_bcICaeYvo9I/R84 ... pNYUz.jpeg and http://bp1.blogger.com/_bcICaeYvo9I/R83 ... vNTUf.jpeg

and here is the discussion of ED where I found this information by doing a Google search.

I don't know if this is what you were looking for.

The second page looks like it is truncated since it only has a couple of measures. Also, although it doesn't specifically say this, I believe there is a capo on the 4th fret.

That page 1 tab http://bp1.blogger.com/_bcICaeYvo9I/R845NmPPoPI/AAAAAAAAAA4/sVYWye3IKs4/s1600-h/5pNYUz.jpeg says it was
created by this member of ED:

But they have not logged into ED since 2009. You could try sending them a PM but hope seems dim since they've been so long inactive.

Dueling banjos is pretty do-able in the whole first 'call and response' part (page 1), ....but IMHO once you get to the rip-roaring high speed bluegrass banjo/guitar battle which is the meat of the piece, well I don't know how one would produce a similar effect on two dulcimers that wouldn't simply sound like either a limp imitation or else a big hot mess of cacophony. Seems like a huge project. But the first part is cool for duet-ing. 8)

Tab here at the Everything Dulcimer Tab Collection is supposed to be only tab for Public Domain and Original works. There are copyright issues in posting copyrighted works without permission or payment. So If you've created tab for those kinds of songs/tunes, you're welcome to submit them here...

If you publish tab of copyrighted songs/tunes on your personal blog/website, you are indeed liable and in violation of the Copyright laws of the United States, unless you have written permission of the copyright holder (not necessarily the singer/songwriter) and/or have paid the appropriate royalties.
