Deleted by Dan - this was a bogus message from a spammer. I'll delete the whole thread after you've had a chance to see my reply at the bottom.

Thanks, Dan

Welcome cloutsthugh. Actually, the classifieds are where people post things they'd like to sell. Usually we introduce ourselves in the section called Jam Session. It's where we can talk about whatever. I'm glad you've decided to join. I hope you continue to learn. Do you play a dulcimer? If so, what kind?

George and Travis,

That was definitely a spammer. Bruce and I both looked that one over as it was odd that they were able to post as a guest. I'm deleting it, and I'm pretty sure Bruce found and corrected the hole in our wall.

Dan

Most of the spam I have seen has been in the classifieds section - I suspect it is something to do with the naming of the forum - particularly this forum. In many forums, it is the off-topic board that is spammed (mine got 600 spam posts in 2 months!). Perhaps a clever re-name that means the same to humans but tricks spambots would help?

Thanks,
Barnaby

You are correct sir. I'm going to change the name, but don't want to do it without sending out letting everyone know first.
