The exhibit, “DAVID’S DULCIMERS: INSTRUMENTS FROM THE SCHNAUFER COLLECTION” opened at the Tennessee State Museum and ran through 29 December, 2013. In 2016 Zada Law added these comments on EvrythingDulcimer.com Face Book page: David’s brother Eric Schnaufer donated David’s vintage dulcimer collection to the Tennessee State Museum. Zada said Sandy Conatser co-curated the Schnaufer Dulcimer Collection with her. She thanked TN State Museum’s Mike Bell and Dan Pomeroy who made the donation and exhibit become reality. A condition of the TSM Schnaufer Collection is that Vanderbilt’s Folk Music Program can play them and keep them alive. David Schnaufer’s papers are permanently curated in the Vanderbilt Library’s Special Collections.
