help me identify the name of this dulcimer

[img][img][/img][/img]I was wondering if someone could help me identify the maker of this dulcimer it is very nice it is to tone would I believe it is stamped 1980 in the first name is Charles the second name I can’t make out any help would be appreciated and preserving this piece. I have more pictures they will only allow me to upload to.

Hello! Welcome to this website, Aerowalk.
To me, the builder's name looks like it could be Charles Eberhardt, or something like that.
I haven't heard of him before. Maybe somebody else here can help you. Good luck.

John, I'm seeing the same name. I Googled both name and city for dulcimer items and came up with a blank....

Same thing here -- Charles Eberhardt, Nashville, Tenn. 1980. White Pages finds 3 Charles Eberhardt's in Nashville, ages 59, 68 and 91. The 59 year-old might be too young in 1980, but you never know.

I, a 59-year-old, had made several dulcimers by 1980. Admittedly, they didn't look that good...
