I ran across the first link below about Uncle Ed Thomas a couple weeks ago and it has some info I don't recall seeing before
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Thomas-13163

This second link I am familiar with, it is an article by Ralph Lee Smith from the 1993-04 issue of Dulcimer Players News, Vol. 19 No. 4 and I'm including it here for those who may not have seen it yet

David, thanks for the first link. I had not seen it before. Since Ralph wrote that article a newer Thomas dulcimer was found, #1465 made in 1931 not long before his death in 1933. It may be the last one he made. Who knows until we find one with a higher number. It resides in a case in my home as I hold it in trust for the dulcimer community.
