I am living and playing my dulcimer I n far Northern California, outside of Arcata CA in the redwoods. Is there anyone else living in Humbolt Co. on this list? I would love to start a dulcimer group ln the area!

I play both hammered and lap dulcimer in Lawrence, Kansas. I get to play only occasionally these days. My home club moved into Missouri and another nearby club folded. So, I attend fiddle jams primarily where I am the only lap dulcimer player or one of two hammered dulcimer players. Haven't gone to Winfield in years.

I live in Mobile, Alabama. I am a beginner at playing the Mountain Dulcimer. I first heard the Dulcimer being played several years ago at a festival in Mississippi and fell in love with it. I am drawn by the beautiful sound especially when it is played with a noter and finger picked. Being a beginner at the age of 64 it is much easier for me than trying to learn chords, but I do hope to get there eventually.

Hi everyone and all musician friends,
just a couple of words to say I am from Joliette, an hour north from Montréal in the province of Quebec.
And just to say, a couple of days ago we had around - 35/38 below zero. Of course I stayed in and played my hammer dulcimer.

this was a brief introduction and my very first post.

I am in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota; I know of few dulcimer players near me except my teacher.

There are tons of Buckeye dulcimer players, lots of festivals up that way too. Check the Clubs section here. Also at Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer, it's easy to Search on members by State.

Searching location here doesn't work because it will bring up the city if someone put that first. Too bad!
