I made one once upon a time. Not much fun carving a hole in a 2x10...

Dan's correct (thanks, brother!), I've made several solidbodies, and actually have one available as I write.

It's solid (SOLID!) black cherry with maple fretboard/head, and has 3 pickups that can be selected as on a Strat guitar.
The pickguard, pickup covers and knobs are black plastic.

Thanks. John, how often do you make a solid body electrix and what do you charge for them? I've checked out your site and really like the dulcimers you have but didn't see the electric.

DulciBob,

The photo of the cherry electric is on the 4th page of my site ("Testimonials/Gallery"), at the top right corner.
It has a flag decal towards the top. I can send you several more photos if you send me your email address (in a private message).
I haven't made many of these because they're time-consuming, more expensive and tricky to build.
The regular price for one is $795.
