Nathaniel Linney "Nat" Glenn (1886-1955) was born.

Nat married Kimmie Presnell Glenn (1888 - 1965), daughter of Eli Presnell (1845-1939) who made a copy of a dulcimer from the "Stranger from the West" who first brought the mountain dulcimer to western North Carolina.

Nat and Kimmie had six children, one of whom was dulcimer maker, Leonard Glenn (1910-1997).

On pages 115-116 in "Appalachian Dulcimer Traditions" Ralph Lee Smith writes, "Nat Glenn made fretless banjos and one dulcimer. The latter, which would be of immense historical interest, apparently no longer exists. "It was destroyed in some fashion," Leonard said."

Nat died on April 9, 1955 and is buried in Watauga County, North Carolina.
