All,

It is a shame that this site will be shutting down. I'm hoping that someone will be willing to take over this site. I cannot, I don't have the time to devote to this. If you are willing to take over this site, please contact Bruce Ford at bwf@everythingdulcimer.com .

So, until someone is found to take over this site:
  • Content submission has been disabled. If you try to submit content, you will be redirected to Bruce's end-of-life message
  • New member registration has been disabled

Ron, we all need to thank you for the work you've been doing here. I'm sure it takes more time than any of us imagine.

I do indeed hope someone or perhaps a team of people step up to take over the administration of this essential resource for the dulcimer community. June 1 is fast approaching . . .

I just wrote an E-mail to Bruce.
The same happend last year to the german dulcimeforum and so i took it over.

I would like to take over everythingdulcimer.com as well.
So if Bruce doesnt find someone else, i would make sure this great community would still have a place online for the future.

Lets wait and see and hope that however, this will not end but continue.

P.S. yes i wasnt very active at all here untill now but i am familiar with running websites and forums and i spend nearly all my time with music and do like dulcimers very much.....so before this ends here ... i would continue with it.

Andreas
Bruce has an account on Linkedin. Also, the Clear Science Inc. website has a telephone number. I hope you're successful in contacting Bruce and he can find the time to allow transferring the site.

This is such sad news. :( When I first joined the site, it was very active and we had many interesting discussions. I would visit it daily. But the activity seemed to wane over the years, perhaps due to evolving technology... or not as many dulcimer players? I found it an invaluable resource when I was first learning my hammered dulcimer. People were always willing to provide answers and advice. I hope it survives in some form.

I've created a website at www.dulcimertab.com. I have saved all the files from ED and I am in the process of getting them up on this new site. I am also working on setting up some forums, if anyone would want to use them. Once I get the initial tab list all setup, I will be able to take new submissions.
