Welcome to the Everything Dulcimer Community
Please take a few minutes to explore all that this friendly and rapidly growing community has to offer. There's no need to register to access anything on this site. Login/Registration is only required for contributors, which we hope you'll choose to become after you check us out.
Here are some highlights:
Discussion - This forum was started in 2002 by Bruce W. Ford. It has grown to around 4000 registered participants these days, with thousands more joining us as guests. Login is required to join the conversations, but you don't have to register to see what everyone's talking about, or to search the archives. Come on in and join us.
Clubs - This an ever-growing, ever-changing directory of clubs from around the United States. The directory is seachable in a variety of ways. The information is maintained by responsible persons from the clubs themselves. Login is only required for club administrators who wish to make changes.
Events - Looking for something fun to do with other dulcimer players? This directory of events includes concerts, festivals, workshops, demonstrations and more. If it is something you think dulcimer players would like to attend then list it here. Access to the directory does not require registration. The information is maintained by responsible persons for the events themselves. Login is only required for event administrators who wish to make changes.
DPN Timeline - This is an ongoing project to connect people with the people that connected them to the dulcimer world. Tell the world when, why, how and where you started playing a dulcimer and/or got involved in this community. What, or who influenced you? You can fill out as much or as little as you'd like. Please take a couple of minutes and record your place in modern dulcimer history. Your story will become a part of another project, called Dulcipedia, which well will launch in late 2009. You do not have to be registered to enter a Timeline listing.
In Memorium - Help us all to remember those in the dulcimer world who have passed. Please feel free to enter as many people into the system as you'd like. Like the Timeline, this information will be used in the upcoming Dulcipedia and serve as a permanent memorial to those who have gone before us. You do not have to be registered to enter an In Memoriam listing.
