KWL
In September 2019 on The Traditional Appalachian Dulcimore forum I was made aware of two zitters that were up for auction on eBay. I purchased them with the intention of restoring them to playing condition. Recently on started working on one of the; the one that had the least damage. Here is a photo of it before I began work on it. It you would like to follow the progress, join The Traditional Appalachian Dulcimore site http://thetraditionalappalachiandulcimore.com to follow the progress on this restoration. After this restoration is done, I will start on restoring zitter 1 which is a little more complicated. dholeton
Ken, it looks like a great project. Also, I wasn't able to make the link work. Dave
KWL
Hmm, Dave, when I click on it, it takes me directly to the Traditional Appalachian Dulcimore site. You should be able to view the photos over there. Look under Pre-Appalachian Dulcimore, Zitter 2 Restoration. Ken "The dulcimer sings a sweet song." dholeton
Ken I tried it again this morning and it still doesn't work. I get this message when I click the link and I'm not logged in: Oops, there was an error! You do not have permission to access this thread. It looks like I have to be logged in to TTAD for the link to work because it works if I log into TTAD and then click the link above. I think the permissions were changed so that people who do not have a userid/password on TTAD are not able to view certain parts of the site as guests. KWL
Well, Dave, that explains it. I stay logged in to TTAD, so it works when I click on. I'll go back and edit the original post to let folks know they have to join TTAD to see it. Well, I tried to do that, before I posted this and can't find a way to edit the post. dholeton
I think there is a time limit here on being able to edit our own posts. Dave
KWL
That is a bummer because when we make mistakes like I did above people will get frustrated if they try the link. Oh, well, nothing is perfect including this site.

Oh, well, nothing is perfect including this site. The time limit for editing posts was 5 minutes by default. I've changed it to 14 days to make it more flexible. You should be able to edit your posts now by clicking on "Edit" at the bottom next to the Quote button. Let me know if it doesn't show up for some reason. KWL
Thanks! It worked very well. I do like the ability to go back and correct mistakes when I see them in what I've posted. Sometimes it is spelling or grammar. Other times it is incorrect information. Ken "The dulcimer sings a sweet song." dholeton
14 days seems reasonable for making edits. Thanks Dave
